Hammy the Wonder Hamster

March 05, 2009

Coming to a hamster wheel near you today . . .

Hello!  My name's Hamilton, and the Puffins invited me to write on their blog, so... (oops, sorry - have I left pawprints on the screen?  I've just been changing the ink cartridge, and that's a messy business if you're a hamster.  I get ink all over my paws, and I can't lick it off because it tastes nasty).

As I told you, I'm Hamilton, and my friend Bethany says I'm amazingly clever.  She says that most hamsters don't know things like reading and French, and sending text messages, and how to do maths.  I know all that stuff, but nobody ever taught me, so I don't know where I get it from.  Funny, isn't it?

Hammy

When I was very small I lived in Doolittle's Pet Shop, but that was just until Bethany found me and brought me home, so now I live in her bedroom.  I have a cage, but it's very easy to get out of for a hamster who knows how to open the catch on a door.  The things I like most are Bethany, apples, sunflower seeds, crosswords, Sudoko, mobile phones, and running.  Oh, and adventures.  I don't like cold, rain, and cats.

Some people even call me HAMMY, THE WONDER HAMSTER!  I'm really not that wonderful.  Maybe just a little bit wonderful.  And a little bit hungry.  Time to text APPLE on Bethany's phone.  Goodnight!
